Sind Club, most prestigious elite club of Pakistan, started operations in 1871. That makes it the oldest of the Sind province. Later, after partition, government of Pakistan declared Sind Club a national treasure by marking it a Heritage Site.
BUILDING COMFORTS was chosen for the Roof Waterproofing in 2008 by the Club Management. As Sind Club buildings are heritage site, utmost attention must be paid to the product being used so as not to damage or alter the look and feel of the entire structure. The compounds used must not be chemically reactive or smell odd.
Therefore, after thorough inspection by our Project Director, Ameer Hamza Adhia, it was decided that all roofs must first be properly cleaned. We ensured that no machines were involved or no hard scrapping was done. We had strict instructions for noiseless work.
After thorough cleaning of the century old roofs, we began with our work using Germany produced Acrylic coating. Our special acrylic coat, which comes in light grey shade, is coated 5 times over a single spot to make it powerful and enduring. For places where cracks had appeared, we used fine cloth as a double reinforcement to avoid any leakage.
But our greatest challenge came when we had to waterproof the little hidden areas over the top of Kitchen / Dining roof. It was studded with electric cables and other items. Our expert hands did the trick just in time.
Now, elite members of Sind Club may enjoy their time beneath its grand and historical roofs without ever having to complain for leaking roofs!
